An important company from the Motor Valley recently visited our headquarters for an in-depth meeting on the topic of metal-plastic conversion and the design of plastic components.

The meeting was part of a course provided by the academic spin-off TP Engineering – with whom we have been collaborating for some time – on the design of polymer-based products, with a particular focus on structural design aspects.

After a series of theoretical lessons, the group of technicians was offered the opportunity to get up close with the process of designing and building injection moulds, and to explore the complexities associated with injection moulding technology in relation to their product needs. During the visit, we showed the participants how injection moulds are produced and the different stages of the plastic moulding process. The potential mechanical and aesthetic issues that can arise during the moulding of plastic parts were highlighted, providing the participants with the opportunity to fully understand the limitations and potential of injection moulding technology.

One of the main objectives of the meeting was to provide expert evaluation on three potential metal-to-plastic conversions that the company had worked on during the theoretical focus sessions.

We shared our experience and know-how in the field, offering our perspective on the feasibility of these project works and suggesting possible solutions for the issues that could arise during the moulding of the plastic parts.

“The collaboration with this famous company from the Motor Valley has been extremely stimulating,” declared the CSPLAST team. “We are pleased to make our experience in injection moulding and plastic component design available to this important and historic Italian company. We are confident that this collaboration will contribute to the development of innovative and optimized solutions for the automotive sector.”

Csplast is a company with over forty years of experience in the construction of injection moulds and the moulding of thermoplastic materials. Thanks to our expertise in the field, we are able to offer design, engineering, and production services for plastic components for a wide range of industrial sectors.

This meeting is just the latest example of Csplast’s ability to collaborate with major players in the industrial landscape to promote the integration of metal-plastic conversion technology in the automotive sector.

In futuro continueremo a mettere a disposizione la nostra esperienza per supportare progetti simili e promuovere una progettazione consapevole e ottimizzata di componenti realizzati mediante stampaggio a iniezione.
